HOUSING INTERNSHIP INITIATIVE | (2) YOUTH POSITION (Ages 16 to 30)

Housing Clerk & (1) Field Worker Assistant
(For 40 weeks till End of March 2022)

SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Housing Manager, Candace Garson, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of Clerical duties and Field Work in assisting the housing department.  This funding is part of the Housing Internship Initiative for First Nations and Inuit Youth program.

DUTIES:

HOUSING CLERK

  • Work under supervision of Housing Manager and/or Assistant with clerical duties
  • Experience and knowledge working with computer
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft programs (Word and Excel)
  • Must have good communication and organization skills
  • Assist with the housing filing system
  • Must have ability to take direction
  • Will be working out of the Band Office
  • Preference will be made first to Fisher River Cree Nation Members
  • Other duties as assigned

FIELD WORKER ASSISTANT

  • Work under supervision of Housing Manager/Assistant and Field Worker
  • Clean HRV and geothermal filters for Elders
  • Should be mechanically inclined
  • Must have ability to take directions
  • Must have valid driver’s license, class 5 and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Familiar with Fisher River Community
  • Inspect completion of work orders
  • Preference will be made first to Fisher River Cree Nation Members
