PART-TIME/CASUAL OPPORTUNITY

The Fisher River Economic Development Corporation is presently seeking applications for: Mikisiw Security Guards

Role:

– Observing and reporting (anything different, unusual, or hazardous)

– Deterring and detecting any criminal activity

– Maintaining good Public Relations on behalf of Fisher River Cree Nation

– Responding to emergencies

– Controlling access to designated area

– Patrolling (either on foot or in vehicle to widen the area protected)

– Finding and reporting any security or safety hazards

Qualifications:

– Security License issued by Province of Manitoba, or willing to obtain Security License.

– Drivers License

– Drivers abstract record

– Ability to communicate verbally and written

– Must be physically fit

– Must have own vehicle

Job Description:

– Security checks around buildings

– Checking that doors have been locked and no one is in the area

– Keeping the Peace

– Conflict Resolution

– Monitoring surveillance equipment

– Patrol property

– Prepare written reports on incidents that have occurred

– Control traffic if necessary, by directing drivers

– Protection of life and property

– Enforcing by-laws on Fisher River Cree Nation
