1.0 FTE – Medical Driver
Fisher River Cree Nation Health Services
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Driver will be required to provide Medical Van Services to the community of Fisher River Cree Nation in accordance to the Medical Transportation Program. Medical trips will consist of varied distances to/from Fisher River, Hodgson, Winnipeg or other as assigned or needed. The goal is to provide a safe and economical Medical Van Service for clients of Fisher River Cree Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A valid Manitoba Class 4 Drivers License.
Current certification in First Aid/CPR or must be willing to take training;
Health Care Aide and/or Transportation of Dangerous Goods training would be an asset;
Must be punctual, reliable, energetic and in good mental and physical health, extended hours may occur, weekend/evenings hours in place as needed;
Able to take direction and follows through to completion of tasks;
Must have own vehicle or transportation to travel between home and work
Cell phone required;
General knowledge of vehicle maintenance/safety and reporting any concerns to Supervisor;
Must adhere to Fisher River Cree Nation Policies and Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law and Child Abuse Registry;
Driver’s Abstract, Driver’s Medical, Adult/Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check;
Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
