To be eligible for this years Summer Work Experience Program, students must hand in a cover letter and resume and meet the following criteria:
High School Student Criteria:
- Fisher River Cree Nation band member
- Attended Fisher River High School
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have social insurance number
The Youth Employment Coordinator will be working with the various community organizations to determine when and where the workers can be best utilized. Students must be able to work as a team and be able to take direction from their coordinator or supervisors.
- Students must provide their own ride to and from their place of work
- Work hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
- Students will only be paid for the hours that they work and all students will be paid after the completion of their work period
- Students will work a 2-week period at 80 hours
- Any days missed cannot be made up, all students will be required to work 40 hours per week
- Duties will include outdoor labour, working with the public, cleaning/maintenance and other duties assigned please dress for the weather.
- Masks are still required while working indoors.
- There will be two groups, group 1 and group 2
