Term Position – Full Time Recreation Coordinator

Posting Date:  June 4, 2024 Position Status: Full -Time
Department:   Nursing Position Title:    Recreation Coordinator
Supervisor:      Head Nurse Hours of Work:  80 hrs Bi-weekly


  • Must be fully vaccinated according to Manitoba Public Health guidelines and provide proof of vaccination.
  • Clear Criminal and Adult Abuse Registry check must be provided with Application (both current within 6 months)
  • P.R., First Aid and Food Handlers Certificate or willing to get the training
  • Class 4 Drivers License or must acquire within 3 months of employment start date
  • Experience in a social recreational/therapeutic field and/or certified Health Care Aide would be an asset
  • Experience and/or skills in planning, organizing and directing daily activities for residents
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and shift work as required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to take direction and follow through
  • Good physical and mental health required
  • Positive attitude towards residents, co-workers, supervisor and the general public
  • Respects confidentiality of residents & staff information
  • Additional duties as required
  • Must adhere to F.R.C.N. Drug by-law
