URBAN PROGRAM SUPPORT WORKER
WINNIPEG OFFICE – Part Time
Job Summary:
The Jordan’s Principle Program Support Worker will be responsible for providing support to Winnipeg Staff. They will work closely with staff and clients of Fisher River Jordan’s Principle to provide services. Activities may include:
- Be a positive role model,
- Assist in the delivery of programs in a respectable and positive manner,
- Transport clients as-needed to medical appointments,
- Perform administrative duties in an office setting,
- Record information to client files as needed,
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, Post Secondary Diploma in related field preferred and/or minimum two years’ experience in Social Services;
- First Aide/CPR or willing to upgrade or take training;
- Customer service experience would be an asset;
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
- Must be sensitive and responsive in all interactions with vulnerable clients;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment;
- Knowledge of Fisher River Cree Nation traditions and lifestyles;
- Punctual and reliable
