Administrative Assistant (Term Full-Time)

Interlake and Peguis Fisher River Campus

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated January 26, 2026 up to December 31, 2026)

SALARY: $48,144 – $67,802 per annum

POSITION LOCATION: Interlake Campus/Selkirk, MB (40km outside of Winnipeg, MB)

ELIGIBILITY LIST: This competition may be used to establish a 6 month eligibility list of qualified candidates for future vacancies.

DUTIES

The Administrative Assistant will be providing reception, compiling information, maintaining records and distribution of mail, assisting students with registration, admissions, and course selection processes, performing various clerical functions such as electronic record keeping, filing, faxing, photocopying, handbook and brochure updates, preparation of correspondence, forms and reports, etc.

The incumbent will be responsible for the ordering and maintaining of textbook inventory, ordering materials and supplies, cash/electronic payments of tuition, books and miscellaneous fees, colleague data-entry and course section set-up and maintenance/adjustments, contacting clients, students, sponsors and instructor, other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate in office administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience providing administrative/secretarial supports in an office environment
  • Experience with various computer applications such as Microsoft Office and/or on-line systems
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience with cash/debit and credit card processing
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
  • This position may be required to travel
