Fisher River Cree Nation Health Services

 The Fisher River Cree Nation Health Services requires a RN/BN to provide public health and treatment services for the community of Fisher River Cree Nation.

Under the direction of the Nurse-in-Charge, the Community Health Nurse component includes:

• Public Health Education
• School Health
• Clinical and community health services
• Prevention services

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Diploma prepared Nurse with related Community Health experience, advanced training and/or experience in nursing management
• Active practicing membership with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Current CPR & First Aid.
• BTLS/IT IS Certification.
• Knowledge of Fisher River Health Services policies and of Community Health related to physical mental emotional & spiritual health.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to complete correspondence, documents and reports.
• Skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).
• Skills and ability to foster positive human and public relations.
• Experience and skills in handling challenging and stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent physical, mental and emotional health.
• Reliable and demonstrates personal motivation and initiative.
• Demonstrates a respectful and positive attitude towards work, colleagues, management, board and the general public.
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education and personal/professional development as it relates to the work area.
• Proficient in computerized programs, knowledge of eHealth Solutions.
• Must submit a current Adult/Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.
• Must abide by FRCN Policies & Procedures including adhering to Illegal Drug Test.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
