December 8, 2020

Tansi Parents & Guardians, Please note the following:

Due Date for Outstanding Homework Packs: The due date for outstanding homework packs is Friday, December 11th. Parents can drop completed packs into the drop off box at the front entrance to CSS. The due date for the homework pack that was delivered on December 7 will be January 18, 2021.

  • We can not stress enough how important it is that we receive student work so that we can assess and plan for further instruction.

iPads For Nursery-Grade 4 Students: The iPads for Nursery to Grade 4 students will be released to parents and guardians beginning the week of December 14-17. Due to the expense of each device, we will not risk having an iPad misplaced or lost therefore iPads can only be picked up and signed for by parents/guardians.

Schedule for Pick Up:

  • Monday & Tuesday for Grade 1 and 3 Students
  • Wednesday & Thursday for Nursery, Kindergarten, Grade 2 and 4 Students

If your child attends Grade 1, you can pick up their iPad on Monday or Tuesday. For siblings in other grades, parents can also pick up and sign for theirs at that time. Please use the front entrance at CSS. Face masks and social distancing measures in place.

Progress Report Card: A progress report will be released before Christmas Holidays begin and will be based on online class participation and/or homework packs due to date. A formal report card will be done in the New Year.

Last Day of Online Learning for Grade 5 & 6: The last day for online learning is December 17th.

We invite community members to come out and enjoy the Santa Light Show Parade taking place on Thursday, December 17th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Fisher River Arena. CSS staff will be participating in the parade.

On behalf of the staff at CSS, we would like to thank the following entities for the Christmas and Breakfast Hampers: FRCN Chief & Council, FRED, First Nation Healing Centre, FR Health Services, Fisher River Board of Education, Income Assistance Program and ICFS.

As well, we wish everyone a safe, joyous Christmas Holiday and a Happy New Year. Ekosi,

Mr. Woodhouse, Principal
