Notice of Cancelled Sports & Recreation events

Fisher River Sports and Recreation Annual Events Cancellation
Fisher River Cree Nation, March 27, 2020  -Fisher River Sports & Recreation along with Fisher River Chief & Council have decided with great regret to cancel the following events below:

  • April 10, 2020 – Easter Events
  • May 4, 2020 – Heritage Day Event
  • May 15, 2020 – Victoria Day Weekend Events
  • June 19, 2020 – Indigenous Peoples Day Events
  • July 1, 2020 – Canada Day Events

These cancellations are due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and to reduce the risk of spread within our community. The purpose of these cancellations is to keep our community members healthy and safe from this pandemic as to reiterate Fisher River’s Health Department that we all Manitobans have a role to play in slowing its spread and minimizing its impact on the health-care system and in communities.
This has not been an easy decision and we hope our community members understand.
