Notice of Rescheduled Land Code Vote

Please be advised that due to our concern for the health and safety of our members and the presence of COVID19 in our community, Council has rescheduled the ratification vote for our Land Code and Individual Agreement to Wednesday October 28th, 2020.
ONLINE AND MAIL IN VOTING OPTIONS
Respectfully, we are urging our members to strongly consider exercising your vote by Online Voting or Mail-in Ballot.  This will minimize any risk to yourself that may occur by in-person voting. If you must attend the Poll, safety precautions will be in place.
VOTE DATES, the vote will take place at the Community Hall as follows:
Online Voting will continue to be available through to October 28th, 2020
Mail-In Ballot available in all vote packages & by contacting the Ratification Officer
Official Vote Date on Wednesday October 28th, 2020 9am-8pm.
There will be no advanced Polls
A successful vote will signal a strong mandate from our member’s for Fisher River to take back control of our lands and resources.  We ask that you read the information on our website including viewing our Land Code Video which provides valuable information.  Further, I invite you to speak to Chief, Council or our team lead, Shirley Anne Cochrane at 1(204) 645-2171 ext. 234, if you have any questions or need additional information.
