Appointments are now being made for the new `super-site’ at RBC Convention Centre. Preparations are underway, and the super-site will open Jan. 4, 2021. People with appointments are reminded to enter through the main doors on York at the RBC Convention Centre, and free indoor parking is included in the main convention centre parkade. In order to limit crowding, and keep an even flow of immunizations, people are asked not to show up any more than 15 minutes before their appointment time. Procedures are in place to assure no one will miss their appointment, but steps must be taken to limit crowds.

Eligibility criteria is being updated regularly. Appointments will be accepted until all spaces are filled. Only health care workers who meet the criteria will be able to book an appointment and all others will be screened out.

When more vaccine is delivered to Manitoba, the priority group will be expanded and other clinics may be added. In addition to the RBC Convention Centre, clinics are planned to open in Brandon Jan. 18, and early February in Thompson with other communities to follow. Other targeted immunization campaigns will be offered through focused immunization teams when more easily stored and transported vaccines are available.

Current Eligibility Criteria

Last updated: January 18, 2021

All new appointments were paused on Friday, January 15 due to the uncertainty caused by the Pfizer vaccine supply disruption. However, Manitoba has revised its updated projections and will be re-opening the call centre for new appointments at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19.

At this time, appointments can be made at the super-sites in Winnipeg and Brandon.  The Thompson super-site will open on Feb. 1 but appointments will not be made until closer to the opening date.  More information about this site will be provided as soon as possible.

Only individuals who are on this eligibility list are able to call and make an appointment for immunization.
