Fisher River Cree Nation advises families to ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed during Wake and Funeral Services, such as:

  • Social distancing
  • Face masks are mandatory for everyone in attendance
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Maximum gathering size of 10 people. The group size may change if the risk of cases and contacts in the community rise.

Please watch for any information about current restrictions for Fisher River Cree Nation COVID-19 by checking the Fisher River Cree Nation website and Facebook page.   As a part of preventing COVID-19 from entering Fisher River Cree Nation, everyone attending will be COVID-19 screened.

All names and phone numbers must be recorded of those in attendance at the time of the Services. The names and phone numbers will be destroyed after 3 weeks.

Please contact the Fisher River Cree Nation COVID-19 General & Travel Questions Hotline at 431.256.0041, for the COVID-19 screen tool prior to attending Wake Services or Funerals in the community.

Please STAY HOME if you are feeling unwell. We all must do our part in protecting the community and these measures are to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
