Recycling Committee

Membership

The Fisher River Cree Nation Recycling Committee will consist of FRCN Leadership, Directors, Elders, Youth, Business Leaders, Waste Management Personnel and Community at Large.

Terms and Mandate

The Committee is voluntary and will serve for 2 years after being selected or appointed through existing FRCN committee development process.

A Chair will be appointed at the first meeting to lead and develop an agenda for the meetings. Notes will be taken at each meeting by a volunteer from the committee and provided to the Chair prior to the next meeting.

Scope

The inaugural Fisher River Cree Nation Recycling Committee will serve as champions of the recycling program, review and help implement the recycling plan, and identify, discuss, and develop a communications plan and materials to educate the community on key recycling information to ensure program success.

Goals

The goals of the FRCN Recycling Committee are to oversee the recycling plan to ensure the following:

To provide guidance and oversight to the recycling plan process;
To identify the community, organization and business recycling needs;
To create a communication plan for community, organization and businesses;
To identify and develop all communication resources required to educate FRCN citizens, organizations and businesses;
To seek out communication materials from existing recycling resources to adapt for FRCN; and
To provide communication materials to the FRCN community, organizations and businesses according to the communication plan

Deliverables

The deliverables of this committee are to provide feedback and recommendations to the recycling plan, create a communications plan, recommend and/or develop communication materials and ensure the successful implementation of the program.

Resources/Budget

It is anticipated FRCN administration will provide small start up funding for any communication materials required, including communication activities. In addition, the Committee will research and identify proposals or recommendations for funding required for communication activities.
