Director of Operation “Assistant”
(Full Time Position)
Fisher River Cree Nation is seeking a highly organized and efficient Assistant to support the Director of Operations. The Director of Operation Assistant will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including managing the Director of Operations calendar, coordinating meetings etc. The successful incumbent will provide a wide range of administrative functions by implementing the following key activities;
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Handle a wide range of administrative and executive level support tasks;
- Manage and maintain the Director of Operations calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments and travel arrangements;
- Screen and direct phone calls, emails and other correspondence;
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents;
- Filing and retrieving documents and reference materials;
- Arrange and coordinate meetings and events, which at times may require interaction with external executives, consultants and assistants;
- Recording, transcribing and distributing minutes of meetings;
- Monitoring, responding to and distributing incoming communications;
- Organize, maintain electronic and physical filing systems for documents and records;
- Ensure that all communication, tasks are handled with a high degree of confidentiality;
- Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law, etc;
- Perform other duties assigned as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a high level of patience and a positive attitude;
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment;
- Knowledge of general office procedures, practices and office equipment operations;
- Demonstrated computer knowledge capabilities;
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel upon request
- Confidence, self-assurance, and initiative to drive tasks forward and to expedite matters – with limited instruction, direction and supervision. Resourceful. Proactive.
- Excellent internal/external customer service skills.
- High-functioning. A proven ability to multi-task at extreme levels, requiring exceptional organizational and time-management skills together with a sense of urgency and an “ownership” mindset.
- Must provide Criminal Record, Child Abuse & Adult Abuse Registry Checks with Resume.
