Re: Checkpoints at Access Roads into Fisher River Cree Nation & Peguis First Nation
For precautionary reasons; Peguis First Nation in cooperation with Fisher River Cree Nation with support from the RCMP will be setting up Checkpoints at Access Points coming into and out of the two Communities beginning Friday March 20, 2020 at a time that is to be determined.
Only ESSENTIAL TRAVELING AND DELIVERIES OF GOODS & SERVICES will be permitted during this time. Traveling for Groceries, Going to Pharmacy/Hospital and checking on the vulnerable or elderly is considered Essential.
NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVELING & NON-RESIDENTS of the two Communities will be asked to turn around.
Peguis First Nation will be monitoring Access Roads:
Mikinak Road & Highway 224
Fisher River Cree Nation will be monitoring Access Roads:
Red Rose & Fish Road
