The Government of Canada has revised its travel guidance for the United States, advising First Nations individuals to bring a passport along with their status card when crossing the border. Fisher River Cree Nation: On February 10, 2026, in the early morning hours, the Fisher River detachment of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNP) was the target of a drive-by shooting.
