RE: Social Media posting of False Information related to COVID-19
Chief & Council want to remind members that ONLY the Fisher River Cree Nation Facebook page is the official source for COVID-19 information and updates regarding our community.
Leadership and Fisher River Health Services receive updates on an hourly bases from Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority, Indigenous Services Canada and First Nations & Inuit Health Branch to ensure all updates are credible.
False or threatening Facebook posts will be notified to the proper authorities, including the R.C.M.P. which may lead to criminal charges.
