RE: Mothers Day Cards/Gifts/Flowers
______________________________________________________________________________
Good afternoon FRCN Community Members. I would like to update you with some of the measures being put into place for the upcoming Mother’s Day. The Province has issued some guidelines that I would like everyone to be aware of. Flowers are not being accepted at this time, so the PCH has purchased flowers for all the Mother’s/Grandmother’s and will address this gift on your behalf. We will allow gifts that are new in package so that it can be disinfected prior to the resident receiving it. We are also allowing cards to be delivered to a staff member if you would like your mother or grandmother to receive one. Staff will open the envelope on your behalf, read & show the card, then hang it in a plastic bag in their room. These recommendations come from the Province of Manitoba as an added safety measure for your loved one. In addition to the closed window visits, please call staff ahead of time so they know to expect your arrival. We will do our best to ensure every resident receives something in the absence of a family window visit. At this time, I would like to reassure you that all the residents are doing well thanks to the precautions put in place by the community, the Province, and the staff at the PCH.
On behalf of the OSPCH, we would like to wish all the Mothers & Grandmothers of Fisher River Cree Nation a Happy & Safe Mother’s Day 😊
Respectfully,
Melody Pierone, Director
