SCO Grand Chief Jerry Daniels visits Fisher River Leadership

Grand Chief Jerry Daniels of the Southern Chiefs Office and Margaret Swan Special Advisor to Grand Chief met with Chief and Council on July 13th, 2020.
The meeting was an opportunity for Chief and Council to hear of the work that the Southern Chief’s Office is activity working on with various levels of Government on issues such as Child and Family Services framework that they have developed to reclaim jurisdiction over child welfare; Health Transformation, which will be a culturally-safe health system for First Nations; and, the First Nations Justice Strategy program which provides support to individuals through restorative justice interventions.
