Travel information according to Manitoba Health, all International travellers are required to self isolate for 14 days in accordance with the quarantine act. Domestic travellers entering Manitoba from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon, northwestern Ontario (west of Terrace Bay) are not required to self-isolate for 14 days if they are asymptomatic (with no symptoms) and have no known exposure to COVID-19.
If you travel West of Terrace Bay Ontario, then you will be required to self isolate for 14 days.
In addition, it is highly recommend that members do not travel to the following hot spots:

  • Brandon
  • Steinbach

If coming from these hotspots you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. Please contact the Health Center and speak to Tanya Kirkness or Brittany Stevenson at 204-645-2689 to let them know that you are self isolating due to travel.
As previously mentioned, and with the increase in reported cases in Manitoba, it is vital that we continue to be vigilant to prevent the spread of the virus by following the Health and Safety protocols: Focus on the fundamentals to reduce the risk of COVID-19

  • Wash your hands/or use an alcohol-based sanitizer
  • Cover your mouth & nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or into your sleeve
  • Stay home when sick
  • Stay 2m/6ft apart
  • Social Distancing
  • Or wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth

Following these Protocols is very important to reduce the risk of transmission and for the health and safety of our families.
