Effective Friday, September 18, 2020, at 4:00 p.m., Fisher River Cree Nation will be implementing Check Points at entrances into the community to monitor travel in and out of the community; which include Main Hwy 224, Krywenko’s Backroad and Fish Road.
Reminder that Peguis First Nation in-collaboration with Fisher River Cree Nation and Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation have also implemented Check Points at entrances into Peguis First Nation. Peguis First Nation have also implemented a Check Point Curfew that will be in place from 12:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. each day. Curfew only applies to access at check points.
Fisher River Cree Nation is still in a State of Emergency. These security measures are to reduce the risk and prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus in our communities.
Cabin and cottage owners have access directly to their properties and directly back when leaving. There is a strict NO STOPPING and NO VISITING order while travelling through Peguis First Nation for all cabin and cottage owners. Cabin and cottage owners will not be in contact with anyone while in the region. All cabin and cottage owners MUST pre-register with the 24-7 Peguis COVID-19 Hotline at (204) 645-2869 or [email protected] prior to entering.
