Dear Chief, Council Members and Covid-19 Team:
Effective immediately and until further notice, the Fisher River United Church hereby closes its doors temporarily to all services in our church due to the recent ‘Code Red’ that Manitoba has been placed under. Provincial health and safety regulations forbids any religious gatherings therefore our church will abide by this protocol to help minimize and reduce the spread of the Covid virus. Our church will make plans to re-open once this code has been lifted and the virus has leveled.
During this time period, we respectfully suggest that families have an outside ceremony in the cemetery and have a memorial service at a later date to celebrate the life of their loved ones. We truly mourn with our people in the loss of their loved ones and offer our prayers with heartfelt compassion.
