TO All Community Members:

Regarding the Harboring of individuals who commit an illegal drug offence;

Please see attached Bylaw 2004-1 to Prohibit illegal Drug in Fisher River Cree Nation, Section 3 – 3:03.

” Under Section 3 Prohibitions: 3:03 it states:  NO PERSON SHALL HARBOUR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS BEEN REMOVED OR BANISHED PURSUANT TO THIS BY-LAW.”

IF THEY DO;    then under Section 6 Penalties- 6.01 and 6.02:
6.01 states: ” Every person who commits an offence under this By-Law is liable on summary conviction”
and Section 6.02 states that In addition to the above penalties, “Every person who commits an offence under the By-Law may also be subject to the following sanctions.”

a) termination of employment, b) denial of assistance of any kind, c) denial  of housing on the lands, d) removal from housing list e) eviction from housing on lands, g) refusal by FRCN to do business and h) removal or banishment from the lands.
