As per the update from Dr. Marcia Anderson, public health lead for Manitoba First Nations Pandemic Response Coordination Team, First Nation communities should be getting their shipment for the community 18+ within the next few weeks.

Fisher River Health Services would like to emphasize the importance of deciding to get the COVID -19 vaccine as it will: protect you, protect your loved ones, slow the spread of the virus, and help end the pandemic.

Community members with certain immunocompromised health conditions such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis to name a few are encouraged to start to speak with their doctor to see if they are eligible for the vaccine; also members that are pregnant or breast feeding can also speak with their doctor or phone Fisher River Health Services.

Please contact me for any questions or concerns and if you want to put your name down for the Vaccine.

Once the details of the delivery date and the quantity are known we will book accordingly.

Thank you,
Tanya Kirkness, Nurse-In-Charge
