Happy New Year everyone!

In light of recent community COVID-19 cases and in consultation with Chief & Council, Health Services and the School Board a decision to delay the start of physical in class learning until the end of the month (January 31, 2022) has been made.

While the 2022 school year is not off to the start that we were hoping for, we are still excited to get the students back into the school mindset.

Teachers will be preparing homework packages for all students (Nursery to Gr. 12). Rapid test kits will be included in each homework package.

Packages will be available for pickup at the respective schools beginning January 12, 2022.  Parents/guardians are asked to call the school to coordinate the pickup of packages.  If you are unable to pick up at the school, please call the school to make alternate arrangements.  While we want all students to pick up packages and complete and return the homework, it is imperative that students in grades 9 – 12 pickup and complete their assigned work.  We need to ensure that these students stay on track for graduations, etc.

An update for a back-to-school decision on January 31, 2022 will be made later in January as the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak is known further.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks
