Emergency response teams here in Fisher River and surrounding communities continue to improve services and grow their expertise in all levels of emergencies that may occur in and around our community.
Today, the Fisher River Fire Department, Peguis Fire Department, Fisher Branch RCMP and Peguis First Nation Paramedics to part in a mock disaster training exercise at Bay River Inn & Suites to find out where improvement can be made and to grow their knowledge in different types of emergencies.
The scenario today was a gas leak causing carbon monoxide poisoning. Our emergency response teams will be taking part in scenarios throughout the year, ranging from natural disasters to vehicle roll overs and more.
Also, big thank you to our volunteer actors for taking part in the exercise.
