We are pleased to share that as of Wednesday, May 10, 2023 masks and goggles are no longer required in all Manitoba personal care homes (PCHs) therefore the Ochekwi-Sipi Personal Care Home staff, families and visitors will not require to wear masks and/or protective shields as of May 16, 2023.
The Ochekwi-Sipi PCH will follow a routine set of infection control measures to lower the risk of infection; below are details on the related changes that will be taking place on that day:
- Masks will continue to be available at all PCH entrances.
- Sanitize your hands upon entry to the PCH and frequently throughout your visit.
- We must still recognize that viruses continue to circulate in the community and that residents in our PCH are among the most vulnerable for serious outcomes therefore please postpone your visit to the PCH if you are feeling unwell.
In the event that we experience an outbreak of illness in the facility, we will be adopting outbreak protocols and will be advising the community of any required changes to visitation as a result.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 204-645-2811.
Regards, Cindy Garson, Executive Director – Ochekwi-Sipi PCH
