Dear Fisher River Cree Nation Community,

We hope this memo finds you in good health and high spirits. We are writing to address a concerning issue that has come to our attention – the illegal dumping of garbage on Fish Road and private land along Fish Road.

As a community, we take great pride in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of our surroundings. Illegal dumping not only poses environmental hazards but also tarnishes the reputation of our Nation. It is imperative that we work together to address this issue and preserve the integrity of our environment.

We would like to remind all community members that there is a designated landfill where garbage should be properly disposed of. The landfill is equipped to handle waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. We kindly request that you utilize this facility to dispose of your garbage appropriately, ensuring that it does not end up in unauthorized areas.

Furthermore, we urge everyone to be vigilant and report any instances of illegal dumping to the First Nation Safety Officer at 204.308.0553. Your cooperation in reporting these incidents is crucial in identifying and holding accountable those responsible for the illegal dumping.

Let us join forces and take a stand against this irresponsible behavior. By working together, we can maintain the cleanliness and beauty of our community for generations to come. Together, we can make a difference and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Chief & Council, Fisher River Cree Nation
