WATER TRUCK OPERATOR – Full Time Position
Summary
Fisher River Cree Nation is presently seeking (1) Full time position as a Water Truck Operator to work under the direction of the Director of Operations. The Water Truck Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the Water Truck.
Duties
- Provide potable water to the people of the community economically;
- Maintain the Water Truck and equipment (daily routine checks on the water trucks) as required;
- Keep record and daily logs and reports of the water levels;
- Report to supervisor on problems that may occur within the Water systems;
- Training will be provided.
- Must clean Water Truck daily at the end of the day.
- Must adhere to FRCN Policies & Procedures, including the Illegal Drug By-law, etc;
- Perform other duties assigned as required.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Grade twelve education or GED equivalent is mandatory,
- Must be willing to train both on the job and in a classroom setting in Winnipeg (maximum of two weeks time frame away from home at a time),
- Must be willing to be certified as a Water Treatment Operator and Certified as a Water Distribution System Operator,
- Must be in good physical shape and able to meet the physical demand,
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team,
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision,
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends in event of an emergency.
- Must provide copy of Class 5 Drivers Licence,
- Must provide copy of Drivers Abstract,
- Must provide with Criminal Record Check, Adult and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
