Chief and Council would like to remind all community members that our Census Team is currently going door-to-door throughout the community to assist residents in completing the 2026 Census.
We encourage everyone to warmly welcome our Census workers and provide their full cooperation. Their work is essential in helping ensure that every member of our community is counted.
Completing the census is more than just answering questions—it helps paint an accurate picture of our Nation and directly supports future planning, funding, programs, services, housing, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic development opportunities. The information collected helps all levels of government better understand the needs and growth of our community.
For First Nations communities across Canada, census participation is especially important. Accurate population data helps strengthen our voice, supports advocacy efforts, and ensures communities receive the resources and recognition needed to meet the needs of current and future generations.
Every person counted matters. Every household counted makes a difference.
Thank you for your cooperation
