EXTENDED: COVID-19 Security Health Measures – Until February 24, 2022

• Curfew/Stay-at-Home Order is 12:00am – 6:00am (7 days a week), which means access into the community will be Closed for anyone coming in & going, as well as all Fisher River residents should be in their homes and are to stay home during these hours. Anyone caught breaking the Curfew/Stay-at-Home Order will be subject to fines. Fines begin at $1,296.00 (exception is made for emergency purposes).

•  Private indoor/outdoor gatherings are limited to 10 additional people plus the household if all are fully vaccinated (youth under the age of 12 are exempt).
• Private indoor/outdoor gatherings are limited to five additional people plus the household if any of the individuals are eligible but unvaccinated (youth under the age of 12 are exempt).

Large Household Gatherings & Parties (over the limits stated above) are still not permitted.  Anyone caught having parties or gathering(s) may be subject to fines/penalties issued from the RCMP, fines start from $1,296.00 and up.

• Un-Monitored Outdoor Public Gatherings will be limited to 10 individuals
•  Off-Reserve Members can visit the Community under the provisions stated above but must register with the Fisher River General & Travel Hotline before coming home. Off-Reserve members must Self-Monitor for the duration of their visit and follow the provisions stated above. Proof of vaccination will be required (youth under the age of 12 are exempt).
  • Out of province members can return to the community but MUST Register with the Fisher River General & Travel Hotline; fully vaccinated members from out of province will not have to isolate. Members not fully vaccinated will be subject to the 10-day isolation period.

Please limit your travel within the community if coming from out of Province for 14 days upon arrival.

Cultural, Funerals/Weddings and Religious Gatherings

• Community/Cultural & Religious Gatherings will be limited to 10 participants indoors and outdoors.
• Funerals/Weddings – Open to 10 participants for Indoor (if venue has the capacity to hold)/outdoor ceremonies, in addition to photographer and officiants.

A safety protocol plan must be provided in advance to the Chief & Council and Health Services prior to any event/funeral/wedding taking place.

Proof of vaccination is mandatory to attend any events in the Community (youth under the age of 12 are exempt).

• Retail/Service businesses open to 50%.
• Implements measures to ensure that members of the public at the business are reasonably able to maintain a separation of at least two metres from other members of the public.
• Restaurants, licensed premises and food courts are limited to 50 per cent capacity and are limited to seated service only with a maximum of 10 people per table.
• Personal Services can open at 50 per cent capacity, appointments are no longer required.
• Fisher River Gaming Centre can open and is limited to 50% capacity with proof of vaccination required.

• Travel/Overnights outside of the community is recommended to essential purposes only. (Medical Appointments, Groceries, etc.):
  • Designated Shopper is recommended.
• Individuals traveling for sporting activities are to please follow the COVID-19 Protocols in place at the facility you are attending. Please limit movement outside of the activity you are taking part in to avoid exposure.
• Members leaving for Overnights will have to register with the Travel Hotline – 431.256.0041
• Fully immunized Manitobans will now be able to travel between provinces without having to self-isolate for two weeks upon return with a new, secure immunization card that will be available to people two weeks after they have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • To be eligible to receive an immunization card, Manitobans must:
  •  have a Manitoba health card;
  • have received two doses of a vaccine; and
  • wait 10 days after getting the second dose of vaccine, so it can take full effect.
• Manitobans may apply for the card using the new online portal at https://immunizationcard.manitoba.ca/
• Individuals who are traveling to US/International are subject to the protocols in place by the Government of Canada/Manitoba
• We highly recommend that our members DO NOT travel abroad at this time.

• Charles Sinclair School & Fisher River High School, will operate as per their guidelines (Subject to Change).
• The WeeCare Child Care Centre will operate as per their guidelines (Subject to Change).

• All Sports & Recreation activities will be limited to 10 individuals.
• Fisher River Fitness Centre can open to 50% and appointment based if (at discretion of management):
  • persons can produce proof of vaccination.
  • persons who produce proof from the Government of Manitoba that there is a medical reason for the person not to receive a vaccine for COVID-19.

• It is mandatory for a person who enters or remains in an indoor public place must wear a mask in a manner that covers their mouth, nose, and chin without gapping; unless drinking or eating.
• The operator of an indoor public place must ensure that every person who is not wearing a mask while in the indoor public place is given a reminder to do so as soon as practicable.

• Current fines range from $298 for not wearing a mask in a public place to $1,296 for individuals failing to comply with emergency orders and $5,000 for corporations disobeying the rules. Fines double for repeat offenders.

• ·All residents & households who are contacted by Health Services and are instructed to Isolate is mandatory, regardless of Vaccination status. Anyone caught breaking Isolation Orders will be subject to fines.
