The Chief & Council have amended and lifted certain COVID-19 Security Health Measures until further notice. NOTE – Masks remain Mandatory in public settings.
Reminder to our residents; the Chief & Council under the State of Emergency By-Law have to authority to issue Security Health Measures that protect the members of Fisher River Cree Nation; regardless of what the province has in place.

Use of Masks |
- It is mandatory for a person who enters or remains in an indoor public place must wear a mask in a manner that covers their mouth, nose, and chin without gapping; unless drinking or eating.
- The operator of an indoor public place must ensure that every person who is not wearing a mask while in the indoor public place is given a reminder to do so as soon as practicable.

Isolation
Positive Cases
*Please notify FRHC nurses at 431-256-0395 (8:30am – 4:30pm) of a positive Covid-19 home test. |
- All residents & households who are contacted by Health Services and are instructed to Isolate is mandatory, regardless of Vaccination status.
- ·Fully vaccinated (2 doses): 5 day isolation from symptom onset or test day as long as individual is symptom free for 24 hours at the end of day 5. Continue to follow safety protocols: wear a mask, social distance, sanitize, avoid large gatherings.
- Not fully vaccinated: 10-day isolation.
- Cases are to notify their own close contacts

Close Contacts |
- Isolation is no longer required. Close contacts to a positive case are advised to self-monitor for symptoms and call 431-256-0395 (8:30am-4:30pm) to pick up a Covid-19 home rapid testing kit if symptoms develop. Close contacts are required to isolate immediately if symptoms develop.
- Close contacts living in the same household as a positive case are required to isolate (even if fully vaccinated). Close contacts in the same household are required to also perform rapid home tests every other day or when symptoms develop.

Please remember to follow the best practices when out & about even when in the community:
- wearing a face mask in the public,
- maintain social distancing,
- clean commonly touched surfaces,
- frequently wash hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer,
- avoid contact with sick individuals,
- stay home if feeling sick, even if mild symptoms; and
- limiting carpooling or travelling in vehicles other than your immediate household family members. If you must travel with individuals outside your immediate house, please wearing a mask.
- If you begin to develop symptoms for more than 24 for hours, even if mild; please contact Fisher River Health Services.
SYMPTOMS – New onset of:
- Fever > 38°C or subjective fever / chills
- Cough
- Sore Throat / hoarse voice
- Shortness of Breath/Breathing Difficulties
- Loss of Smell or Taste
- Vomiting or Diarrhea for more than 24 hours
TWO OR MORE of:
- Runny nose
- Muscle aches
- Fatigue
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Headache
- Skin rash of unknown cause
- Nausea or loss of appetite
- Poor Feeding (if an Infant)
Please DO NOT travel if you do need to and please STAY HOME if you are feeling unwell. We all must do our part in protecting the community and these measures are to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
