Community Celebrates Business Centre Grand Opening

Despite the cold weather and snow flurries, the community gathered as the official Grand Opening of the Fisher River Business Centre took place.

The Business Centre houses many businesses such as King Ho Chinese Food, Fisher River Pharmacy, Pine Cone Dairy Bar and Jordan’s Principle programs.

The COVID-19 Pandemic had caused my disruptions to the construction on the building which was originally built approximately around 1972.

The now Fisher River Business Centre was home to many organizations and businesses throughout its history with recently the head office for Intertribal Child & Family Services; it was first the home to the community’s first grocery store.

Fisher River Cree Nation leadership and Fisher River Economic Development Corporation would like to thank everyone who came out and to all our contractors/project managers who worked on this project.
