To be eligible for this year’s Summer Work Experience Program, students must submit a resume and a completed application form
High School Student Criteria:
- Fisher River Cree Nation band member
- Attended Fisher River High School
- Students must fill out the High School Summer Student Application w/ Human Resources
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age
The Program Coordinator will be working with the various community organizations to determine when and where the workers can be best utilized. Students must be able to work as a team and be able to take direction from their coordinator or supervisors.
- Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from their work placement
- Work hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday
- Students will only be paid for the hours that they work, and all students will be paid after the completion of their work period
- Students will work 2 weeks at 80 hours
- Any days missed cannot be made up
- Duties will include outdoor labour, working with the public, cleaning/maintenance and other duties assigned. Please dress for the weather.
Program Schedule
Students will be assigned to one of the following groups:
- Group 1: July 6-17, 2026
- Group 2: July 20-31, 2026
A maximum of 50 students will be accepted into the program. Acceptance will be based on completed applications received.
