SUBSTITUTES REQUIRED

All applicants must submit a covering letter stating their preferred area, along with a resume, to the Board of Education Office.

As per the Fisher River Cree Nation Illegal Drug By-law, all applicants must complete pre-screening drug tests.

Resumes will NOT be accepted without the following:

(1) Current Criminal Record Check

(2) Child Abuse Registry Check

AREA	DUTIES
TEACHER SUBSTITUTE	In the teacher’s absence, the substitute teacher is responsible for delivering the instructional program to the class. She/he is also responsible for meeting the class’s needs and ensuring that the established rules, procedures, and assigned responsibilities are carried out effectively and professionally.
CUSTODIAL	The maintenance/janitorial substitute will work under the direction of the maintenance supervisor. Includes general upkeep and may include heavy lifting and moving.
CAFETERIA	The cafeteria substitute will work under the direction of the cafeteria supervisor. Food Handling Certificate Required
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER	The Bus Driver substitute will work under the direction of the transportation supervisor. Complies with regulations set by the Board of Education and the Department of Highways. Ensures that transportation of students is provided in a safe manner Class 4 or 2 required Driver’s Abstract (must submit with resume)
Day Care	Daycare substitutes will work under the Daycare Director’s direction.
