Our job is to tell stories that reflect our province’s many people and places. Communities in Focus is a community news bureau project that aims to hear Manitobans’ stories and share them with the rest of the province.
CBC Manitoba is coming to Fisher River Cree Nation to meet with the community to hear the stories that matter to the people who live there.
Here’s who’s joining us to spend time in Fisher River Cree Nation and meet the community.
We’ll be covering stories while we’re in Fisher River, as well as hosting a live episode of CBC Manitoba’s Information Radio with Marcy Markusa.

Over the last year, CBC Manitoba has set up community news bureaus in Flin Flon, Brandon, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Poplar River First Nation, Lac du Bonnet, and Morden and Winkler. From north to south, our province has so many intriguing stories to share.
