Combination of 8 & 12 hour shifts

Department:       Nursing Position Title:           Health Care Aide
Supervisor:          Head Nurse Hours of Work:         80 Hours Bi-weekly

 Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Head Nurse the Health Care Aide performs the assigned duties related to the Nursing Standard Practises and complies with the Standards & Policy Procedures.  Duties are performed while maintaining Standards of Safety and Health.  The Health Care Aide functions in accordance with PCH’s Missions, Goals, and Objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Updated Criminal Record and Adult Abuse Registry must be attached along with Resume
  • Must be fully vaccinated according to Manitoba Public Health guidelines and provide proof of vaccination.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Current First Aide & CPR or must be willing to acquire
  • Must be willing to work shift work, nights, and weekends
  • Be in good physical and mental health
  • Ability to take direction and follow-through
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Respects the confidentiality of Residents and Staff information
  • Positive attitude towards Residents, Co-workers, Supervisors, and people in general
