Children’s Advocate Administrative Assistant
(Full -Time Position @ Cree Crescent, Winnipeg)

Fisher River Cree Nation is presently seeking a full time Children’s Advocate Administrative Assistant to work under the direction of the Children’s Advocate Director.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a wide range of clerical functions by providing the following key activities:

DUTIES:

  • Answering phones, greeting the public,
  • File, type, photocopy and distribute material when required,
  • Use of Office Equipment and software – ie fax/photocopier, computer, MS Word/Excel and email software
  • Maintain paper and electronic files, create documents and handle travel arrangements.
  • Manage incoming Invoices and order office supplies,
  • Data entry into maximizer system, training will be provided.
  • Must be able to Manage Office when Director is not available,
  • Other Administrative Duties assigned.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Office Assistant Certificate or work experience in Office Environment
  • Problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizing
  • Punctual, meticulous, reliable and able to work independently
  • Must have good organizational, communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment;
  • Knowledge of general office procedures, practices
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge capabilities;
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel upon request
  • Excellent internal/external customer service skills.
