Matrimonial Real Property Law Does Not Pass due to not meeting the Voting Requirements
The Fisher River Cree Nation held a ratification vote on the Matrimonial Real Property Law, an important step toward asserting greater control over family property matters within the community. Ottawa urges First Nations people to bring a passport when crossing U.S. border
The Government of Canada has revised its travel guidance for the United States, advising First Nations individuals to bring a passport along with their status card when crossing the border.
