Please be advised that First Nations Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) has notified leadership and Fisher River Health Services this evening that 2 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the community. The 2 confirmed individuals have already been placed into Isolation. Rapid Response Team Testing Update – September 13, 2020

Since arriving Saturday September 12, 2020; the Rapid Response Team (RRT) performed 21 rapid point of care tests and 7 routine swabs to all the individuals that Fisher River Health Services have identified as close contacts. We are pleased to announce that the 21 rapid point of care tests performed have all returned NEGATIVE. Fisher River Health Services in working with our First Nations Inuit Health Branch, Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority and University of Manitoba partners are pleased to announce expanded COVID-19 testing capacity in the community. Fisher River Health Services COVID-19 Special Bulletin (September 11, 2020)

On September 9, 2020; Fisher River Health Services was notified of an individual of the community who became symptomatic on September 8, 2020. The individual received a COVID-19 test at the Percy E. Moore Hospital where the results returned positive for COVID-19 on September 10, 2020. The test has been sent to the provincial public health laboratory for confirmation.
