Please be advised that Highway 224 will be Closed beginning at approximately 9:00am Sunday April 19 from Murdock Bridge to the Business Centre as we expect many deliveries of Super Sandbags. Please use the Chief Rundle Road detour. Access for Local Residents for that area can enter at the road block at the Business Centre as the road will be completely closed by Murdock Bridge. BCR 264-2026-01 | Fisher River Cree Nation declares a State of Emergency, effective April 18, 2026. The State of Emergency enables the Nation to mobilize resources, access emergency funding from Indigenous Services Canada and the Province of Manitoba, and enforce mandatory evacuations if necessary. Reminder - schools will only close during the State of Emergency if explicitly recommended by the Chief and Council.
